« Thread started on: Jan 12th, 2015, 11:43am »

Hello,
in some cases I send some stickies by mail (from me to me, between work and home), I use MAPI to do that.

But it mails only plain text; any format disappears when text is placed into the mail message. Is there any way to send formatted text?, I think attaching the rtf file should be fine, but it doesn't appears as an option.
When I try to send an image sticky the result is a crash.

My stickies version is 8.0b. Many thanks,
Francesc

Stickies uses "Simple MAPI" to send email messages, which sadly was complicated enough for me to get working as it was, and Simple MAPI doesn't support RTF messages from what I can see I'm afraid.

However, you should be able to send an image sticky - it gets glued onto the mail message as a PNG file. I guess I could do the same with the RTF file, so that at least the recipient can get the formatted text.

The image attaching works here with Outlook - which doesn't help you much I appreciate. Which email client are you using please?

Hello,
thanks for your quick answer. Now I'm at work and testing with Outlook, I use Office 2010 with Outlook 14, and I cannot send image Stickies; I obtain the message "cannot send to <Me at home>". No problem with text, except the format loss.
At home I use Thunderbird, when at home I will retest but as I remember Stickies crashed sending image notes.
