Sir (&Dear all) :

I can't find sticky.exe from the website, does it still available.

Just need a command line tool to send stickies with my friend in LAN.

It needed a little tweaking to work correctly with v8, and I was slow in getting that done.

There's a test version at:

http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/tools/sticky.zip

Perhaps you can let me know whether it's working OK!

Sir, after my testing for the CMD line tool (sticky.exe)

using the CMD :
sticky 192.168.28.161:52673 -file msg.txt

the new line [ENTER] change into ^M

Hum, sorry, it seems that this is something I broke with v8 of Stickies. Looking at the code for both Stickies and also sticky.exe, I can't fix it in sticky.exe.

I'll make the change for the next release version of the app - would you like a build now with that change in it so that you can continue to test?

Also while looking at sticky.exe for this, I noticed a bug around it reading Unicode files which I just fixed, and uploaded the new exe to the above link, in case you run into that one?

just let me know what should I do.

I can help test the new build of APP, and also with the new CMD tool(sticky.exe)

Ok, try this please:

http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/stickies80b.zip

It has the fix which means you should be able to send plain text files to it again over the network.

Let me know how you get on!

Is it possible to know the client who is did not

receive the mssage(or computer off) by using sticky.exe ?

I know the mechanism of sticky.exe is just to send the message,

but can I get any return value(like offline, timeout) after

sending message. Thanks a lot.

It was about time I got sticky.exe back as "live", so I've done that now. Yes, there is a way to tell this - check the Stickies Tools page on the web site to see how.

Instead of \n, what if you swap in ^^M instead?
