Hi there.
Here is one of my issues. I hope I can explain this OK.
My sister and I downloaded the Stickies program to each of our computers. She lives upstairs, I live downstairs. We are on the same network. Although I try to be a geek, I still struggle. So after a few days of trying to set the networking up, I finally figured things out.
We were so excited that we could send each other Stickies.
(That meant I didn't have to run upstairs to ask if she needed help with dinner. I could now sit at my computer and get fat. grin )

So things worked fine until the next day...
Now, I can send her Stickies and she gets them.
When she tries to send a Stickie to me, she receives a pop up saying 'Can not transmit to Elljay'. I do not get them.
What am I doing wrong. I can't figure out what happened huh
Any help would be appreciated.

You know, there's no need for the flattery - I'd still have helped you out! smiley

Networking problems are almost always due to firewalling. However, if it has been working in the past, then that's unlikely in your case. Instead, I'd guess it's to do with name resolution.

In her Friends list, has she got the name or the IP address of your computer?

Hello there Tom,
Yes it is. I did it myself grin

Actually when she sent her first Stickie, I got 5 duplicates of it.
Everything is A OK now. I figured it out this morning.

I went up and checked the ipaddress this morning and the Lan Adapter ipaddress was typed in the box. I changed it to Local Area ipaddress and VOILA!
I'm not sure how that happened but all is well now.
Boy, I'm genius! Becoming a Geek, one day at a time. grin

Cheers Tom
