please help modify the skin Sign of Affection
Post by leopoldus on Dec 11th, 2016, 4:37pm

Hello,

I wish to modify the skin "Sign of Affection" http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/skins/showone.pl?d=signofaffection. In general this skin is quite good for some cases, but the problem for me that it appears in rolled-up mode as a square instead of the usual full-length title ribbon.

Could anybody teach me, which fields should I check or uncheck or modify in Skinner utility in order to override the original settings and to make the skin to use a regular title form in rolled-up mode. I've tried do it myself, but was not able to get success.

Thanks!

Set it as rolled up in the Skinner, and then ensure that you don't draw the "region" colour across the part which is then showing. There will be an element, probably a hstrip (without looking!) which extends across the rolled up title bar.

Sorry, could you please give a bit more detailed instructions HOW to set it is a rolled up? I don't see the appropriate checkbox in the Skinner window. huh

The same question: which way can I ensure, that I don't draw the "region" colour across the part which is then showing?

Many thanks in advance!

Once it's loaded in Skinner, check the "Rolled" checkbox in the Skin Settings box so that the preview is rolled up.

Them edit the element "top region rolled" so that it's not drawn when the sticky is rolled up - or instead simply delete it.

If you don't like the image which is being drawn, then delete "rolled icon" as well.

Now you can create new elements, which only draw when rolled up, which customise the rectangle which appears when you roll up the note.
