Stickies have become invaluable to me on my computer. It is one of the basic apps I suggest to everyone.

Recently, I started using Stickies instead of my notepad (I find it so much more useful!), and I discovered one problem - if the sticky is longer than the screen height, I can't scroll!

I think it would be good to have a scroll bar appear whenever the length of the sticky goes below the lower edge of the screen.

In the next version, maybe? Thx.

Hmm.. Definitely required. But I guess, this is not taken up, because Stickies are not replacement for editors and it's not really supposed to be very big.

May be it would be implemented later on, but should surely be on the author's ToDo list.

My 2 cents.

Thanks and regards,

I agree with the idea that Stickies is not meant to replace a text editor, but the scrolling feature would be a great addition. Right now I have several Christmas lists on Stickies - so they can be always on my desktop - and they get pretty LONG!

My thought on this is that because stickies are supposed to take up a small portion of your Desktop and because I sometimes do have somewhat lengthy notes, I should be able to resize my sticky smaller than the actual text and scroll down as I need to see more info.

Matt,

I assume you know you can roll up your stickie to where only the title bar is showing by double clicking the title bar.

The scroll bar certainly isnt critical but would be nice for those long-winded note writers. I say go for it!

My suggestion is put a popup menu option "fix height" to enable scrollbar. I use the stickies at work to chat with coworkers and send peaces of code. Everytime I have to cut part of text to can read.

I have set options to
a> Double click Title Bar to Roll up/down
b> Directly size

If the text exceeds the length of the page you can click on the page and roll the mouse wheel and the text will scroll up and down.

Possibly easier than selecting a scroll bar.

Wow...
This is a really long standing issue.

I just started using stickies a few months ago, and am starting to realize how useful it can be.
I came here today, with a single purpose, .. to post a gripe about not having scroll bars.

But, after reading the posts, and realizing that I can use the mouse wheel to scroll through long notes...
.. and that there is an indicator to show the presence of additional text above and/or below what is visible.

I have changed my opinion, and I now believe that a scrollbar is not necessary in this application.
