Stickies does not run after a Windows 10 update
« Thread started on:Yesterday at 6:21pm »
After a Windows 10 update stickies stopped running on a second user account out of the two accounts on the computer. Not sure which update it was, but I think it was the Creators Update. The message I now receive is:
'C:\Users\****** **d**\AppData\Roaming\stickies\store.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.
I tried reinstalling version version 9.0d, installing version 9.0e, all in hopes that it would fix the problem, but with the same negative result.
Regarding the user name, in fact it is incorrect, but I do not know if this is the reason or where to correct this. Where the letter "d" is positioned, should instead be the letter "đ".

No, I did not use the "move stickies data file location" option for that user. However, I did check the link you provided and I cannot find that registry entry for either of the users, the admin. account where everything is working fine and the standard user where it is not.
Also, in the %appdata%\stickies of the admin. account there is a file store.mdb, while in the corresponding directory of the standard user, there is no such file, other files are there.
