I made my first stack just now, and added a few stickies. Presumably I have to position them manually underneath the stack, for tidiness? IOW, that's not done automaticaly, or with some sort of 'snapping'?

Also, why is it necessary to hold Shift while moving the stack and its contents, rather than the normal dragging? Putting it another way, when would I not want to keep the group of stickies together?

The intention of a stack is a place to tuck some notes away when you're not directly using them, but they're still at hand when you need them. With notes in a stack, now double-click on the stack window to see them collapse into the stack. Double-click again to bring them back out.

Thanks, but I was really asking about moving - the stack and its contents.

Oh OK, well to explain why you have to hold shift, consider the setup I have currently - I've a number of stickies which relate to an ongoing project in a stack. The stack is on the right side of my screen. The stickies, when expanded, are dotted around the screen.

If I choose to relocate the stack window to the left of my screen, and the stickies move with it, then they'd all end up off the side of my screen, and so not visible.
