I'm using PortableApps (http://portableapps.com/), and somehow the only way I can get stickies to use the stickies.ini file in its own folder is to start it up directly (ie., navigate to the stickies.exe file on the flash drive & double-click).
If, however, I start it up from the PortableApps Menu, it writes a new stickies.ini file to my PC's C drive.
Same thing happens with the Autorun option -- I have a launch.bat file to start up a few apps on the flash drive, and even though it points to the Stickies directory on the flash drive that contains stickies.exe & stickies.ini, it creates a new .ini file on the C drive.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated-- thanks for your time.

Thanks so much, Tom! I was able to download one of the beta versions of PortableAppsMenu (which does change the CWD), and all's well. Thanks for the help. Best, ST
