sad Stickies no longer starts on boot up
« Thread started on: Nov 25th, 2005, 10:32am »

I have been using stickies for a long time, with no problems. Now, suddenly, it no longer appears in my system tray on start up. I have to click on the shortcut icon on my desktop.
I have a shortcut in All Users .....Start Up. I have also tried the Win2000 fix.
I have searched the Windows Support site but can't find any reference to the problem.
I'm using Windows XP SP2 and the only change to my system recently has been in setting up a home wireless network. Could this be related to the problem? huh

Shouldn't be related.

Have you recently added Symantec or Norton AntiVirus?

There are some wise words (!) in the FAQ about this issue.

I missed the item in the Stickies Help FAQ!
I seem to have solved the problem for now by logging off and then relogging on.
Stickies now opens in the system tray whenever I reboot. If the problem reoccurs I may try the registry key before I disable auto logon.
