xx Request for multiple virtual desktops
« Thread started on: Dec 1st, 2017, 2:30pm »

I am running Windows 10. I work with multiple virtual desktops every day. I keep my tasks organized in this way. I would like to set up one of my desktops to keep my Stickies while I continue using the others for their normal tasks. Can you develop a way to keep the Stickies on only 1 chosen desktop?

To clarify my request, here is what I do now:
Primary virtual desktop- programs I am running for work
second desktop- temporary tasks
third desktop- programs I have running for personal use

I would like to use my second virtual desktop for my Stickies without them showing on all of my desktops. This is possible for the Chrome and Edge browsers as well as the other programs I currently run. I can even have an instance of those programs running on each virtual desktop individually from each other.

Currently, when I create a Stickie on one desktop, it is displayed on all of them.

I do understand what you're asking for, and the reason for it as well. However, your request is actually one for MS, not me.

Other virtual desktop implementations work in the way that you're asking for, but not the one built into Windows now. That's a shame, but MS would need to add a couple of small options to their code to get it to work correctly with Stickies.

I think the one I tweaked Stickies to work a little better with in the past was Dexpot, but I suspect there are a number of other virtual desktop apps which do have the necessary features.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question. I will see what I can come up with in the way of an answer from MS.
