Blowing away colleagues with this brilliant feature. But hoping for the user to be able to reduce the brightness of the screen grab negative area. Currently it goes white with a slight opacity and hurts the eyes in a dark room. The alternative green rectangle is good for avoid the brightness change but would be great to have just an unaffected thin line so you can see what you're capturing.

Amazing software, can't live without it!

Thanks!

Well, seeing as you asked so nicely, and it looks to be a year since you first asked, try this:

http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/stickiesWO.zip

Replace your exe with the contents of that zip file, and then with Stickies not running, find the line in options.ini and set it to look like this:

GreenRectSS=2

When I put out a more major release I'll add the option to the UI, but for now you can turn it on manually by editing the options ini directly.

Is that what you were looking for?

Awesome! Thanks Tom!

Just a note that part of the screen in at least my dual setup at work still has the white overlay on part of the screen. My set up is a 1920 x 1200 and a 1280 x 1024

Thanks again

Huh, it's annoying how different setups work in different ways .. when I don't know why they would!

There's no white area here, but looking at the code, I can see how there could be one. I've made a change - if you re-download the file and swap that into place, does that solve it?

Thanks Tom. I missed this reply! I did a test with the new file and didn't get a change in result. Here is a WeTransfer link to a screen grab of my main monitor 1920 by 1200

Does this build:

http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/stickies1.zip

Help? I can't immediately see what the problem might be with your screenshot, but I know I did sort out a white area problem the other week, which is included in this build?

It didn't Tom, but thanks again for trying again. I think as you mentioned, different setups are just going to be unpredictable I guess. I'll live with it!

thanks
