xx Can't display help file
« Thread started on: Apr 11th, 2017, 3:05pm »

If I right-click on the stickies icon in the task bar and select "stickies help", a help window icon that says "Stickies 9.0d h..." appears on the task bar. If I single- or double-click on the icon it flashes but doesn't display a window. If I hover the cursor over the icon a thumbnail window appears but is just a flat gray. The same thing happens if I double click directly on the installed stickies.chm file. I can double click on the chm files of other software and they do display the help window.

I'm running Windows 10.

Thanks.

Does the same thing happen if you manually open the .chm file from the file system?

As best I know the file is perfectly "normal", so there's no reason that you'd not be able to launch it. This is the first time I've heard of this particular problem.

Is this the first time you've run Stickies? There's an unavoidable wrinkle only with the first ever run after installation which might cause trouble with the help file?
