xx Sticky not attaching reliably....
« Thread started on: Jan 17th, 2017, 5:17pm »

Using v9.0d, and Windows 10. I want to attach a sticky to the program Quicken. It works the first time, but closing & restarting Quicken breaks the attachment. The problem seems to me to be that the "Class" detail changes each time I start Quicken. For example, I attached a sticky to the Quicken window, which had the class: "HwndWrapper[qw.exe;;a93c9de6-da74-421f-82e2-75d53ee6ff77]".

I closed & re-opened Quicken (same data file, so the window title remained the same), but the sticky did not appear, because the quicken window now has a different class:
"HwndWrapper[qw.exe;;8951281e-1e21-4950-946d-d153f2e04b05]"

Any way to circumvent this?

Sure, just use an asterisk in the place of the class, and then the sticky will appear whenever any window with that title is on screen.

Perhaps to be a little more accurate, you could set the class to be:

*qw.exe*

as that will pretty much limit it to Quicken.

Thanks for the quick reply - I'll try that this evening (when I'm at that computer). Thanks, too, for the wonderful software!

EDIT: Tested, works perfectly. Thanks again.
