xx Stickies 7.1e released
« Thread started on: Nov 10th, 2012, 1:29pm »

Don't get excited - this is just a quick update which gets Stickies to recognise Windows 8 correctly:

  • Windows 8 is now recognised by Stickies so the correct font list is displayed
  • The Stickies installer now puts an icon on the Start screen under Windows 8
  • Maximum text in a sticky raised from 265000 to 614400 characters
  • Bug fix ensuring that sticky IDs are kept when control-dragging a sticky to copy it

Download the update, if you need it, from the web site.

I've just updated the version of 7.1e which is on the web site.

I found a small bug which will affect very few people, so although I need to fix it, I don't think it warrants going to 7.1f.

It's the API command "do new sticky". It had been removed from the code, by accident. It turned up because it's used by SSIT ... and possibly other third party code?

If you need to know which build you have, check the version number in the exe file properties:

7.1.5.0 - first release, is missing the API command

7.1.5.1 - this release, with the only change being the command added back in.
