There you will find the download, and also details of what's changed. Please post any feedback, bugs, comments on this board.

Excellent work. Installed and running without problem so far.
One small request: add '8 minutes' to the default list of Sleep times - the jump from 5 to 10 minutes is quite large - I often need something in between.

Woot! Now to go figure out what Image Stickies are.....
...oh man....please, Please, PLEASE add a feature to set the max height/width of images! I dragged an image onto a sticky and it's HUGE. I'd prefer it be limited to a certain percentage/ratio right off of the bat instead of having to fiddle with the settings manually every time.
Works beautifully though, and the drawing functions are amazing!
Oh, one other thing. When rolling up an image sticky, it would be nice of the width of the bar went back to a manageable width, say the same width as a default new sticky.
Also, when deciding to drag a new image into the sticky, it would be nice if the percentage/width/height where maintained.
Ok, sorry, another suggestion (I know, just bug reports but I can't help it). Please ad a small insert that shows the colour below the cursor when using the Lift Colour mode and maybe an option to auto switch back to the pen upon selection.

Ok, one bug (?). Image stickies do not like transparent PNGs.

Thanks so much Tom for v7. Looks like a fitting addition for my move to Windows 7 in a few weeks time. The number's a coincidence of course.
Some early observations: After inserting a picture (lovely feature), I cannot resize the stickie or add text (normal text that is, not text added to picture; that works OK). The stickie immediately adjusts to almost match the resized image except for a slightly larger strip down the right hand side. Clicking anywhere on the borders or small strip of background (other than the title bar) does nothing. Does this mean that an image stickie is just that and only that, containing an image only?
Drop shadows have square corners, so there is a little patch left on the bottom right corner of skins with rounded corners. For me not a problem, I don't think I shall use the shadows.
Alt-k doesn't appear to have any effect for me, not enabling me to choose a different skin. However, I find that double clicking a skin located anywhere, even on a different hard drive, immediately changes all the stickies to that skin. I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug but it's certainly stunning.

Sizing the image is a manual thing rather than grabbing a corner - press shift-s, or choose the menu item.
Stickies are either text, or image - not a combination of both, so you're right, image stickies are just that.
Oops, it's alt-s, not alt-k, I've fixed the beta page now, sorry about that!
Double-clicking a ssk file to change them all was also in v6

Tom, This came at a perfect time for me as I was just setting up stickies for my Win7 environment. It fixed a few (insignificant) complaints about 6.7+.
Thank you so much for such a useful program. One could argue that it is too useful, because for a period of about 2 years I had so many stickies they covered my desktop! Now I am trying to keep them down to a manageable amount, and am finally using features such as show/hide all and rolled-up stickies to keep my desktop clean.
Thanks again!

Thanks for the clarification, Tom. I was looking optimistically for the ability to insert an image into a text sticky; maybe version 8 or 9? Sizing an "image stickie" is in effect sizing the image - the stickie size follows along, got it.
Choosing a different skin for one stickie now works with alt+s, a great enhancement for emphasising one or highlighting a group of related stickies.
I had been using different styles (Set to style...) and this is still available of course, but still has a problem with the check boxes. After changing the style, an empty check box becomes what looks like a double quote sign and a checked box becomes a vertical bar with a letter o. Furthermore, adding a check box after a style change produces a box with a much thicker border.

Minor annoyance. The tray icon is not as clearly defined as the one in 6.7a was. It's just a yellow splotch on a white background. Otherwise, cool!!

I agree. I haven't been using Stickies, so this was essentially a new install for me. I can hardly tell what the tray icon is.

Yeah, looks fine here too. I like it much better than the old icon, very slick!

If anyone ever needed proof of how hard it is to keep everyone happy, the last few posts are it!
My thinking is that Windows is getting more and more "soft" with its icons, and the v6 icon now looks rather out of place.

I wasn't sure what the point of the "This is the tray icon I see..." post was.
I don't use any Windows skinning; my task bar and tray is gray. (The XP and Vista pics above do make use of the "skinning" I'm talking about--I'm not sure about the 7 pic.) That makes the tray icon much less defined in its appearance. It just looks like an off-center yellow blotch to me.
My complaint wasn't about pure aesthetics but being better able to differentiate the icon.
But to tell the truth, I'm not loving the icon as it looks in the screen shots shown above, either. It's not very clear there.
But whatever.

The point was to give you an idea of how the icon looks like on other computers.
