Well, not really, not as part of Stickies. My aim is to leave notes where they're put, and if that ends up being off the screen - well, that's where they stay. In your case, you want them brought automatically back onto your primary monitor. Other people would not want that to happen (including me, as I switch my primary screen between two machines!)

However, you might like to try this:

Sadly not - I've just checked my archives but it's not in there. It's not functionality which I've ever used myself, which is why I don't have it.

I've a couple of email addresses for iPhillip, I've mailed them to see whether he's still interested in the project.

Tom and Dan,

I am still interested in the project. I responded to Dan's posting and will work with him to get him a version of SLS that runs with the latest version.

hi guys,

im finding that when switching from/to external monitors, some stickies can jump screens :/ I think it is mostly when one has an active reminder

I have stickies on the laptop screen when connected to external monitors ... but the main monitor is one of the other screens - ie for windows taskbar etc

thanks

Does the 0,0 point of the virtual desktop change? Stickies store their position relative to that point, which is the top-left corner of the primary monitor.

On most systems this is a fixed location, but if you detach and re-attach screens, changing that location in the process, then that might explain what you're seeing?

...or is this with SLS?

hi Tom,

by 0,0 do you mean the home screen? if so then yes - one of the external monitors is set to the main screen when connected
....most of the stickies make it to the laptop ok ... just some don't - when I reconnected the monitor I found the missing sticky smiley

when all the monitors are connected - I have stickies running on the laptop screen .. although this isn't the main screen at this point

im surprised it all works at all cheesy

cheers

They should all retain their relative positions from the virtual screen 0,0.

If this means you "lose" some, then either you could use Rescue Offscreen to bring them back into view, or instead if you prefer to leave them where they are, you could view/edit them in the Desktop category of the Manage dialog?
